Highlights of the day
Pongal is widely celebrated in Tamil Nadu State at the end of the harvest season as a thanks giving festival. It is a way of expressing gratitude to the Sun, Soil and Oxen.
In our School, Pongal celebration was started with a colourful presentation of cultural programs which were organized by the Tamil Department. It included traditional Dance, Drama and Songs. Director Rev. Dr. A. Alagu Selvan spoke a few words about the significance of the Pongal festival.
