Independence Day
Event held on: Aug. 15, 2020
It was a red letter day in the history of India when the country got her freedom on August 15th 1947.It was celebrated all over the country with pomp and show.
This year our school also celebrated 74th Independence day which begins with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu.
The Principal Rev. Fr. Arul Sundar was the chief guest of the program. He hoisted the national flag on the school premises. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic very few teachers were only participated in this event and took the Indian pledge. The principal delivered a short speech about the supreme sacrifice of the great Martyrs who gave their lives for the sake of freedom. He also insisted that whatever work it might be but it should be done with perfection and dedication.
In the end of the ceremony six public workers who sanitized our locality for past few days were honoured.
As a token of love and gratitude we have given thousand rupees worth grocery items to them finally the sweets were distributed by the Principal and the event ended with the National Anthem.

The Independence Day has a great important in every citizen’s life. This day remains us every year that freedom is sacred and citizens must do everything to ensure that it shall not be endangered.
This time on 15th Aug 2019 Independence Day was celebrated on our school premises. It was conducted by our Heritage club. Our distinguished chief Guest Sis.Arokiya Mary of Fatima Nursery & Primary school, Our Principal Rev.Fr.Sebastian, and our beloved Director Rev.Fr.Alagu Selvan preside over the function. Our chief Guest hoisted the National flag and plant a sapling as a symbol to save nature. Our students perform some cultural activities like dance and skit on that day.
The chief Guest advised the students to become ideal citizens of the country.
